NWAX Port Fees are Dropping

We have some exciting news to share with the Northwest Access Exchange community. As a member-run 501(c)6 non-profit, our mission has always been to strengthen the regional internet ecosystem by making peering as accessible as possible.

Thanks to our collective growth and efficient operations, we are pleased to announce a reduction in port pricing across our exchange. By lowering the cost of connectivity, we aim to help our members further improve network reliability, increase redundancy, and reduce latency for all participants.

What You Need to Know

The new pricing structure will be officially implemented according to the following guidelines:

  • Effective Date: The new rates go into effect on July 1, 2026.
  • Immediate Benefits for Upgrades: If you choose to upgrade your port capacity between now and July, the new, lower pricing will be applied to your account immediately.
  • Credit for Annual Payers: For members who already paid for 2026, you won’t miss out. A credit reflecting the price difference will be applied to your next annual renewal in 2027.
